MWAF IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THE FIRST BUSINESS TRAINING SESSION: ONLINE - WELCOME TO BUSINESS - AGRIBUSINESS 2020

Starting a business is an appealing idea for many women and understanding what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur is the first step. This lunchtime session helps you explore the advantages and challenges of being self-employed. You will receive information regarding resources and services from our partners: Farm Credit Canada, Manitoba Agriculture and Resource Development and World Trade Centre Winnipeg (WTC Winnipeg). Afterwards, an experienced WECM facilitator will guide you through the resources available to help you put your idea into action and answer frequently asked questions including: ​

How do I register my business name?

Do I require any special licenses or permits?

How do I finance my idea?
After this session, MWAF will offer workshops with in-depth instructions to develop your business plan. The business plan is a critical tool for outlining the strategy and tactics you need to manage your business. Guided by WECM, the workshops will be offered in a small group setting so there is lots of time for discussions. These follow up sessions will be partly subsidized by MWAF until the funds are used up. If you completed this introductory, welcome-to-business session, the $20 fee you paid will be credited toward the next sessions.
